COONOOR
Nestled in a valley surrounded by tea estates was a Lipton tea factory named Brindavan. Our Founder Chairman, upon visiting the site and instantly falling in love with it, said “What better name than Brindavan? Brindavan was where Lord Krishna laughed and played joyously with his friends. Let our students live, laugh and play to their heart’s content here.”
Thus started the Brindavan Public School, Coonoor with an initial intake of 13 students in the year 1968. Today, the school has 600+ students in classes K-12. The heritage buildings of the tea factory have been repurposed to house dormitories, an acoustically retrofitted auditorium and living spaces for the staff and management. These are supplemented by modern academic and office blocks.
